Ray and Al, the partners who operate Natalli Vineyards, work the vineyards 12 months a year so one of them is always around to give a tour if you drop by. The hours change, depending on what is going on in the winery so call ahead to check on what you’ll see but you’ll pretty much always see something.
One of them will walk you into the fields where they said is where the wine is really made. Then you’ll head into the production rooms, see the cellar and watch the pressing, bottling or whatever else is happening at the time. Figure on spending about 30 – 45 minutes for a full tour.
But for any wine-lover, the highlight is a stop at the tasting room (which you can do with or without a tour.) You’ll get to sample up to four selections from their menu of 12 wines. And since they have racked up more than a dozen awards since 2004, you are sure to find something you’ll want to pack up and take home.
Throughout the year they celebrate the various steps of producing wine with different events. Check out their events calendar and drop by to join in the parties.
Since planting the first vines in 2000, and producing their first bottle of wine in 2004 Natalli Vineyards has grown and grown. Last year, they produced 2,000 bottles from their six planted acres and this year they expect to produce at least 500. And in the next few years, as they utilize more of their 22 acre estate, you can count on even more wine from Ray and Al.
