Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Campground is just like being at home. . . if home sits on 113 wooded acres, has cable TV, private fishing pond, huge swimming pool, outdoor movie theater, volleyball and basketball courts, a pint-sized train and a nigh-time tuck-in from Yogi himself.

Everything here is designed to give everyone in the family a fun experience. Mom and dad and kick back and relax while the kids join in supervised activities. By day, kids can go biking, participate in the weekly theme activities, bike or hike the trails, fish, swim and enjoy the kind of play that will have them forgetting about their X-box in minutes. By night, there are campfires, outdoor movies, and quiet nights under the stars.

For work emergencies, mom and dad can hook up the laptop to the campsite’s phone jacks or log onto the wifi. But hey, this is vacation so leave that stuff at home.

Families who prefer roughing it can pitch their tents at the rustic campsites while those who like to take their creature comforts with them can set up their tow-along or large mobile trailers on pull-in sites with water and electric hook-ups.

BRING THE FAMILY

Week after week,  Jellystone presents different fun themes with activities, fun and games for all ages.  And with themes like Clown Week, Yogi's Birthday Party, and Western Weekend complete with cowboy games and rodeos, it is all family-friendly.

COME PREPARED

You might get lucky and be able to get reservations on short notice.  But Yogi has lots of fans and chances are you'll have to make you reservations pretty well in advance. Also, if you have a large camper, be sure you make that clear to the reservationist so you get a campsite that doesn't have low-hanging trees.

WHO KNEW

The real Yogi Bear started out as a supporting player to Huckleberry Hound but his popularity as a sandwich-stealing thorn in Ranger Smith's side soon led to a starring role.  He is said to be inspired by Art Carney's portrayal of Ed Norton on The Honeymooners TV show.

LEAVE NO TRACE

Everyone knows Yogi Bear loves dogs and they are welcome at the campsite.  But just be sure to bring your pooper-scooper and clean up after your pup.
