Even before you see it, you know you’ve arrived at Clementon -- just listen for the screams of delight as families go soaring and sliding on more than two dozen rides in the Park’s land and water rides.

The region’s oldest family amusement park has kept pace with the times, adding new amusement rides, and even newer water park attractions. The newest of the new is Laguna Kahuna, a 13,000 square foot Polynesian-themed water adventure that expands Splash World into a mega desitnation on a hot summer day. Get soaking, wringing wet at Laguna’s eight slides, 10 play platforms, 125 sprays, jets, squirters and bubbles. And don’t let your guard down – there is a giant 400 gallon bucket that intermittently spills over on unsuspecting frolicers standing below. And all this is in addition to Splash World’s Vertical Limit Racer, Lazy River tube ride, Caribbean Cove splash area, and the favorite Sky River Rapids.

Meanwhile, over on dry land, thrill-seekers have lots of rides to keep the adrenalin level pumped up. A new hybrid coaster – steel frame with a wooden track -- whizzes down the 110 foot drop at 50 mph. The Thunderbolt, Inverter, Flying Pharoah and Sea Dragon have just the right level of excitement. For the teeny-tiny ones, Clementon Park has a wide range of rides suitable for tots. Every amusement park worth its salt has a ferris wheel and Clementon is no exception. Soaring 90 feet above the ground, the Giant Ferris Wheel gives a sweeping view of all the Park’s goings-on.

Newly-paved picnic pavilions offer shaded comfort for groups. They have to be reserved in advance, but if groups aren’t using them, families can plunk down in a spot first-come, first served.

Seasons passes are available and other money-saving admission coupons can be found at various fast-food restaurants in the region.

BRING THE FAMILY
Newly-paved picnic pavilions now make it easier for carriages, wheelchairs and people with walking challenges to get around.  The Park also has a limited number of wagons and wheelchairs for rent on a first-come, first-served basis.
COME PREPARED

This year, the Park is introducing a parking fee of $6 per car.   Season ticket holders have the option to also purchase a season discount parking pass.  And watch what you wear.  This is a family park so shirts with rude, vulgar or suggestive language or graphics are not permitted.

WHO KNEW
In the early 20th century, amusement parks were often built by transportation companies at the end of their trolley lines to encourage ridership on weekends.  Built in 1907, Clementon is one of the nation's few remaining trolley line amusement parks. Today, a bus and not a trolley stops outside the front gates.
TAKE PUBLIC TRANSIT
The NJ Public Transit bus route 403 drops you off directly across the street from the Park's entrance.
