It’s never too soon to turn kids into environmentalists and the Cover Campers Summer Camp is just the activity that can do it. Situated along the banks of the Delaware River, Palmyra Cove Nature Park offers kids a fun, hands-on summer program that will turn them into big fans of nature. For three hours every day, the kids will spend a week exploring the Cove’s wetlands (that means they’ll get to get wet), seining (that means they’ll learn to fish using mesh nets), hiking to Bullfrog Basin, Dragonfly Pond and the Delaware River. They'll learn geology and mapping (that means they’ll get to traipse through the woods and explore the trails), wildlife exploration and making nature-related crafts. They’ll also catch-and-release insects, get to learn about animal life cycles, log exploration, animal habitats and how to track the critters and join in a beach clean-up. Best of all, as they explore Palmyra Cove’s 250 acres of wetlands and natural resources, the kids can expect to get a little dirty, and what kid doesn’t love getting a little dirty.
Camp fees include a healthy snack each day and membership at Palmyra Cove Nature Park, allowing you to enjoy many other programs and activities for all ages.
