Now a nicely renovated family establishment, the Hedger House was once a rough bar that few community outsiders dared to enter. Prior to the American Revolution, it's also believed to have operated as a stagecoach stop on the trip from Philadelphia to Barnegat Bay.
Today, the Hedger House is a welcoming place to stop for a meal, drink, or snack as you make your way through the Pine Barrens. In the summer, the restaurant hosts live entertainment in its beer garden. And throughout the rest of the year, other performances are scheduled including a weekly karaoke night.
