Medford hosts a variety of restored historic homes and many interesting shops and boutiques. In 1761, the Friends founded a meeting at Medford, and then in 1766, Charles Reed established a ironworks in the town. The ironworks produced bar iron, flatirons, bottles, handles, and numerous other commercial goods. The furnance was located on 9,000 acres and included a grist mill. For lunch, do not pass up IZZIES. The crabcakes alone are worth the trip.
