Originally owned by local chemist Thomas Snyder, the Inn was transferred to his daughter Lillian after Snyder passed away in 1937. To show new ownership, Lillian and her husband, Pickett Russell Sr., felt a new name was needed. While doing her normal duties, employee Alma Hall came across a jar of Pic-A-Lilli relish. On her recommendation, they both agreed, especially since it included both of their names!
When Picket, Jr. passed on, he left "The Original" Pic-A-Lilli to his remaining five children. Our family is now in its fifth generation and the business continues to grow. Thanks to that original liquor license, still in use, the good-time barrom and cozy dining room allow for all locals, and those friends just passing through, to enjo y our delicious food. Remember this building was not only a hotel, a courtroom, hospital room, and wedding room, but also a great place to meet with your own family and friends. We do our best to cater to all occasions, feel free to inquire about your next event!
As part of the Inn's growing effort to cater to its patrons, the owners have opened "Pic's Patio." The patio features a Happy Hour, 2pm openings on Fridays, and numerous musical performances from local artists throughout the week.
Try Pic-A-Lilli's famous buffalo wings and crab soup for an experience like no other.
