Part historic attraction, part natural wonder, Historic Whitesbog Village stands in testament to the Pinelands’ agricultural heritage. In the early part of the 20th century, Whitesbog was the center of the state’s cranberry and blueberry industries employing more than 600 people during the height of the season.

Today the village recounts the lives of those who worked in the bogs. When you visit, you’ll find the general store and post office, residential houses, workers cottages, school house, the berry processing buildings and Suningive, the home of Elizabeth C. White's house who cultivated the blueberry.

But Whitesbog’s agricultural bounty could only happen because of the surrounding environment. Hop in the car and drive a five-mail route or head to the General Store and start on the short, easy hiking trail that winds past an abandoned cranberry bog, Elizabeth White’s home, and oaks that have been here over 300 years. In the forested wetland, you can even spot native wildlife.
