Each year, locals work long hours to create dozens of attention-getting, smile-inducing creatures to compete in the scarecrow contest that is the high point of the annual Woodstown Fall Festival. It is really all about earning bragging rights but you’d never know that by level of creativity and detail that goes into these picture-worthy displays.
And that’s not the only reason you’ll want to bring your camera. You’ll want to snap pix of your friends and family as they cross the finish line in the 5K run. Oh and get the kids photos too when they join in the Fun Run. But it isn’t all about kids. The over-21 set can relax with a glass of wine and sample the vintages from many local wineries. Just the thing to wash down all the chili from the Chili Contest, a hotly contested – and very delicious – tradition at the Woodstown Fall Festival.
