Haddonfield Farmers Market
Come spend your Saturdays in Haddonfield -- shop the Farmers’ Market; see "Haddy," a bronze sculpture of the world's first dinosaur skeleton; stroll, shop and enjoy family and fine dining along Kings Highway and quaint side streets. Only 7 miles from downtown Philadelphia. Or ride PATCO directly to the Market! The Farmers’ Market is handicapped-accessible.
 
Heritage Station Pick-Your-Own Farm
Part farm, part winery, Heritage Station in Richwood is the best of both worlds with U-pick orchards for families and activities for kids and an award-winning winery for grown-ups that offers samples from their tasting bar daily. On their 115 acres of orchards, the fifth generation of the Heritage family grows peaches, apples, pears, cherries and plums. From July through October, you can head into the orchards and snap the freshest fruit right off the trees.
 
House of Alexander Douglass (Historical Marker)
Erected in 1902 by Trenton High School's Class of 1903, the House of Alexander Douglass is the site of Washington's council of war prior to the Battle of Princeton.
 
Indian Acres Tree Farm
Talk about a split personality. Sometimes Indian Acres Tree Farm is a scary Halloween attraction, sometimes it is a one-stop shop for your Christmas tree, wreaths and all your holiday decorations. Sometimes it's a spot to discover works by new artists and craftspeople. Not to mention, it's also a kid’s dream come true with pumpkin picking, barrel trains, play equipment, hayrides and other activities.
 
Ironwood Outdoor Center
What used to be a YMCA camp has been turned into a community outdoor center with outdoor programs for groups, affordable swim facilities for families and trails and boat docks for anyone to use. For the adventurous, Ironwood’s rope course will get the adrenalin flowing, but unless you are part of a group, you’ll have to wait for one of their open house days. But once you ride the zip line, you’ll know it was worth the wait.
 
Isaac Hilliard House
The Isaac Hilliard House is an award-winning Bed-and-Breakfast that is located six miles from Mt. Holly and positioned with easy access to Mt. Laurel and Cherry Hill, New Jersey. This wonderful Victorian Federal House is in a beautiful garden setting that has its original brick smoke house and lovely furnishings. Delectable breakfast is served in a bay window dining room. If that doesn't do the trick, you can also relax and sun at their private (40' x 20') in-ground pool.
 
Italian American Festival
Selected by AAA World Magazine as a Top Ten Mid-Atlantic Event, the festival features three stages of performers from Italy, traditional costumes and dances, music and other entertainment. Shop for imported and locally made foods in the Italian Market Tent, play bocce or pick up hand-made fine arts and jewelry in the Heritage pavilion, ‘mangia’ in the Food Piazza, ride the amusements and enjoy a fireworks spectacular.
 
Jersey Devil Hunts
Think you can handle a little danger? Then maybe you are ready to go on a hunt for the Jersey Devil. The Pinelands Preservation Alliance leads a 1 ½ mile evening trek through the Wharton State Forest, usually twice a month, in search of South Jersey’s very own monster. Sit around the campfire, roast some hot dogs, do a little singing and it's off into the woods in search of the beady-eyed monster.
 
Mercer County Waterfront Park
Overlooking the historic Delaware River, the 66-6 seat Mercer County Waterfront Park is home to the Trenton Thunder, the NY Yankees AA minor league farm team. For a fraction of the ticket price to a major league ball park, Waterfront Park offers a family nine innings worth of entertainment. And with seats close to the action and many offering skyline and river views, there is always a great view.
 
Night of Terror
By day, Creamy Acres Farm in Mullica Hill is an easy-going farm offering family-friendly tours and activities. But come Halloween, it is a Night of Terror, an adventure that features a haunted hayride, Dreaded Cornfield Maze, "Ride of Terror," "Home of the Demented and the Dead" and the 3D Haunted House. Fun and scary enough to have been twice named “Best Haunted House” by the Philadelphia Inquirer, Night of Terror changes every year.<
 
Pic-A-Lilli Inn
For a local culinary and cultural experience, visit the Pic-A-Lilli Inn. This longtime family-owned restaurant and tavern has a colorful history. A historical summary of the Inn is on the back of the menu, and the employees are always willing to share a story or two about its past. The Inn has a bar and dining room.
 
Sahara Sam's Oasis
No need to wait for a sunny or warm day to splash in the water. At Sahara Sam’s Oasis, you can enjoy water activities any day. During winter months, the indoor facility offers an off-beat way to play. Come summer, the retractable roof peels back and it is turns into a sun-filled water park with almost a dozen laugh-filled, splash-filled water rides and activities.
 
Salem County Arts in Bloom
Arts in Bloom features over 50 established and emerging artists representing a wide variety of work. Painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, collage, glass art, woodturning, metalsmithing are offered in stunning and intimate settings including gardens and greenhouses as well as studios and galleries.
 
Samuel Crowley III
As a retired sea captain, Samuel Crowley III, established the foundations for Crowleytown in Burlington County and precipitated the town's legacy of glassworks. Crowley began building the town in 1851 and by 1857 it had a glass house, 17 residences, a store and blacksmith shop, and school.
 
Samuel Gordon Giberson
Samuel Gordon Giberson, a memeber of the renowned Giberson family of Ocean County, was well known in the area for his talent on the fiddle. Playing for the Pinelands in the middle 1800s, Giberson was nicknamed by the community, "Fiddler Sammy Buck." He would play at social gatherings and in local taverns.
 
Seabrook Educational and Cultural Center
If you need proof that a picture is worth a thousand words, a visit to The Seabrook Educational and Cultural Center should do the trick. Thousands of photos and artifacts recall the history of Seabrook Farms and tell the dramatic stories of the Japanese, Peruvian, Appalachian, European and Caribbean refugees and immigrants who lived and worked at Seabrook Farms during World War II.
 
Woodstown Fall Festival
Deciding to go to the Woodstown Fall Festival is easy. Deciding what to do once you get there is hard. You have to see the displays of scarecrows that practically double the population of the town. Then there is the chili contest, the 5K run, palate-pleasing wine tastings, dozens of crafters and oh yes, more. Much more.
 
Albert Music Hall
Where else can you get a whole Saturday evening’s worth of live entertainment for only $5. Each week is a celebration of Pinelands culture when blue-grass, country, old-time and traditional musicians – usually about seven acts per week – perform in the 350 seat Albert Music Hall. The crowd is friendly, the setting is casual and the atmosphere buzzes with the energy of hand-clapping, foot-stomping music.

Challenge Grove
When you get bored with your run-of-the-mill workout routine, a trip to Challenge Grove Park can shake things up. Parked along the Cooper River, Challenge Grove has equipment that you don’t usually find in most parks – bocce courts, long jump, and a fitness quad to name a few – along with some of the activities and amenities you do expect including ball fields, playgrounds, paths, picnic benches and a pavilion.
